Combine a desire to get a 4.0 in this master's program with a desire for a "normal" social life, and a helluva commute, and you've got a recipe for radio silence.
Let's see....updates:
- I'm an uncle! My sister had a baby. Actually a little while before my last post. He's cute, but I'm definitely not good at taking care of babies. Exhibit A: I had to babysit for an hour. 4 phone calls, 1 stinky diaper, and a lot of crying (his, and a little of mine) later, I was relieved of duty.
- Got a new job - went from being a "Technical Analyst" to "Software Engineer", a good move career-wise I think.
- I've hit my checking account goal (see updated goal tracker to the right), mostly thanks to my new job overlapping slightly with my previous job's severance package.
- I've been contemplating "going public" with this blog. Haven't pulled the trigger yet (obviously), but may sometime in the near future.
- Got a new digital camera for my birthday! It's compact, 10 MP, and has a good amount of "pro" features hidden in all its little menus. Just need to get a larger memory card. 1GB doesn't cut it anymore when pictures are 5-10 MB.
- I'm going to Europe in May. Should be a fun trip! Will post about it afterwards (including pictures!)
- I'm woefully behind on my 101 Things. Dammit. And that's the page that drives all my traffic!
